Even though smartphone photography has grown rapidly over the past few years, it can still be difficult to find a mobile device with a decent front-facing camera. If you’re looking for that perfect Android phone to take care of all your selfie needs, look no further. Here are the best Android phones for taking selfies!

LG G5

While the Galaxy S7 series is a minor refresh in terms of design, the LG G5 sees a massive departure from the design language used in the G series, ditching the rear volume/power setup that first debuted with the LG G2. The G5 also adopts a unibody metallic design that has a removable cap for access to the removable battery and a port for modules that allow users to expand the phone’s capabilities by adding a camera grip and other special accessories.

What about the front-facing camera, though? The LG G5 has a single 8 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, which is capable of capturing pretty good selfie images in day or night.

Specs

*5.3-inch IPS LCD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 554 ppi
*Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor
*4 GB of RAM
*32 GB of on-board storage, microSD expansion up to 200 GB
*16 and 8 MP dual rear cameras, 8 MP front camera
*Removable 2800 mAh battery
*Android 6.0 Marshmallow
*149.4 x 73.9 x 7.7 mm, 159 g

LG V10

The LG V10 is not only a very powerful smartphone, it is also very unique. It happens to feature a secondary ticker display that shows notifications, shortcuts, information and more. But we are not here to talk about that; it also sports dual 5 MP front-facing cameras.

These are two front-facing shooters, with one featuring an 80-degree lens for a more standard field of view, while the other comes with a 120-degree wide angle lens. You can toggle back and forth between the two within the camera software, and the 120-degree wide angles lens comes in handy when trying to take group shots. The overall quality of these front-facing cameras is quite good as well.

*Main display: 5.7-inch IPS Quantum Display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 513 ppi

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

Samsung did a killer job with their 2015 flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Design-wise, many would say those two phones were close to perfect. The company forwent a plastic design and instead included glass front and back panels with an aluminum frame. They weren’t without their flaws, though. The S6 and S6 Edge didn’t offer expandable storage or removable batteries — two features Samsung has been known to include in all its smartphones for years.

Now the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have made their way to the masses, and they fix many of the problems the S6 line introduced last year. While they don’t offer removable batteries, Samsung included expandable storage on both handsets in case the 32 GB of on-board storage isn’t enough. Samsung mostly stuck to the same design this time around, though they did shrink down the camera bumps on the back and made the devices a little thicker to make room for larger batteries.

These handsets do everything well, including taking pictures. They actually sport some of the best cameras in the industry, but that’s the case for the main shooters. The front-facing cameras are also great, though, surpassing many other selfie-focused smartphones.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (aka Moto X Style)

The Moto X Pure Edition (aka Moto X Style) doesn’t really have the most outstanding front-facing camera, but it is blessed by the addition of a selfie flash. This ensures you are never caught taking under-exposed or grainy selfies in dark environments. We do believe the light can often be a bit harsher than it should, though.

With the Moto X Style, Motorola reaches the perfect balance between performance, simplicity, price and… well, style. By Style we are mostly referring customization capabilities. Customers can use Moto Maker to manipulate their devices’ aesthetics to their will. You can change the color of the metal areas, engrave the back and even choose from a plethora of back options, including materials leather, wood, rubber and other materials. The best part? This phone’s price starts at only $399!

Sony Xperia XA Ultra

The Xperia XA Ultra shares other specs with the XA, but the cameras are a notch above. On the rear, you get a 21MP Sony Exmor R camera with hybrid autofocus. On the front, the device offers selfie-oriented bells and whistles like a wide-angle 88-degree lens, a flash, and optical image stabilization, which should ensure that the 16MP sensor captures you in the most favorable light.

The XA Ultra is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) octa-core processor, but it ups the RAM to 3 GB, as compared to 2 GB on the XA. It also sports a 6-inch Full HD screen.

Modern 6-inch devices come with huge batteries, but Sony somehow only managed to pack a 2,700 mAh battery inside the Xperia XA Ultra. That’s not horrible in itself, and perhaps necessary for the borderless display, but it’s a little disappointing compared to other phones in this size class.

The XA Ultra will start shipping from July 24 for just $369.99. It’ll be sold through Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo Video, Reagan Wireless and Sony’s own stores.

Specs

*6.0-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 367ppi
*2.0GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor

*16GB of on-board storage, microSD expansion up to 200GB
*21.5MP rear camera, 16MP front camera
*Non-removable 2700mAh battery

ASUS ZenFone Selfie

Is this ASUS handset worthy of carrying the ‘Selfie’ label within its name? It does have 13 MP cameras with an f/2.2 aperture, along with LED flash lights, in both the front and back. Furthermore, ASUS tries to sweeten the selfie deal with its PixelMaster selfie experience. This software includes gesture controls, low-light improvements, beautifying editing and even a panorama selfie setting.

The device features a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2/3 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage and a 3,000 mAh battery. And because it is a ZenFone, it is also pretty affordable at about $270.

Specs

*5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 403ppi
*Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor
*2/3GB of RAM
*16/32GB of internal storage, microSD expansion up to 128GB
*13MP rear camera, 13MP front camera
*Removable 3000mAh battery
*Android 5.0 Lollipop
*156.5 x 77.2 x 10.8-3.9mm, 170g
