Here is 3 iPhone Tricks You Might Not Know

The iPhone has been around for almost nine years, but there are still some tricks you can do on your phone that you might not know about.

We’ll be real: These aren’t the most advanced tricks of the trade — but you might be surprised as to some of the little features you can do.

1). Search tricks
You can get a lot of information on your iPhone just by searching for it.
On the home screen, you can access search but pulling down from the top. From here, you can search for all kinds of stuff, including app names, contacts and within emails. But you can do other stuff too.
Type in “weather” and the weather for your location will show up below. Want the weather for a specific city, add the name or zip code to the term weather.
You can also do quick calculations by typing them into the search bar.

2). Search within Settings
There's a lot of stuff in the Settings app. It’s where you can go to make sure Facebook isn’t hogging all of your battery (bad location services, bad!) and where you can add custom words to your dictionary (I have mine set to make sure my favorite expletive is never accidentally corrected to “duck”).
But finding those specific features can be a struggle, as many are several layers deep within other menus. Fortunately, there is a search feature built right into Settings.
Just pull down from the top and type in a phrase or feature you need to access.

3). 3D Touch goodness
If you have an iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus, 3D Touch is one of the best features on the phone, but you might not even know all the cool stuff it can do.

You access 3D Touch by pressing harder on the screen on an icon or on a link or photo. Depending on the app, you can get access to Quick Settings without even having to enter the app.

For instance, on the Music app, you can quickly go to search, access the last song you played or play Beats 1 radio.

On Settings, you can quickly access Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Battery settings, which is super convenient.

You can also use 3D Touch as a quick way to switch between apps. Simply 3D Touch on the left side of your phone to see your most recently accessed apps.

This is essentially the same as double-tapping the home button, but it’s still nice.

3D Touch works in tons of other apps too — including Spotify, Google Maps and Snapchat.
